My car of the day, new Kia Ceed.

With Ford's Focus now on the roads; it's now Kia with the new Ceed that's just released and ready to take on the Focus. The Ceed you see here is the 'first edition model' that's loaded with kit and a 138 BHP 1.4 litre turbo petrol. There's also a 1.0 litre diesel with 118 BHP and the faster Ceed GT will soon arrive to take on the Focus ST. So the first edition gets sporty 17 inch wheels, an eight inch touch screen with Apple car play, leather heated seats, climate control, power mirrors and driver assist. But all of this comes at a cost of £25,750. But as with Kia's you get that solid build quality and it looks more than capable of challenging the Focus.

Key specs:

price: £25,750
engine: 1.4 4, cyl turbo petrol
power/torque: 138 BHP/242 NM
transmission: six speed manual front-wheel drive
0-60 in 8.6 seconds
top speed is 130 MPH.

Like it?

No doubt be big discounts available. I think it's a decent looking motor.

Quite nice, but that's a lot of dosh for a Kia. It would have to be very, very good to warrant that price.

A Kia Sorento gt, starts from 43k. Kia's are popular cars and not exactly cheap.

Nice car, seems well specced. All car prices are going crazy as PCP seems to make the rrp irrelevant.
