Arrow My car of the day, new Fiat 500 X

The Fiat 500 X has had a mid-life facelift and in today's crowded SUV market, can it mix it with the challengers? The 500 X is to some people, a car you buy with your heart rather than your head, probably because of the heritage of it's smaller brother (500). We now have a new look inside and out, new technology, new engines and more kit. The LED lights are similar to those found on the 500 city car, new colours - like Italia Blue seen here on these images. The interior has new dials and higher quality materials that help lift the interior ambiance. The big change lies underneath where you'll find the same naturally aspirated 1.6 litre petrol but it now has a new turbo charger. Diesel engines have been dropped from the line up. Other revised engines are a 148 BHP 1.3 and a 118 BHP three cylinder 1.0 litre turbo. Only one six speed gearbox is available. Another model to consider is the 500 X city cross which adds a rugged styling pack, bigger wheels and front fog lights. Other toys included are tinted rear windows, LED headlights, parking camera and built in sat-nav.

Like it?

The Fiat 500 is a bit like the Mulitpla, a car that should never have made it past the paper drawing and been built !

I actually think these are one of the best looking crossovers available and was hoping for an Abarth version!

It's a bit dull looking.

The best looking car in this class is the Mazda CX3. It's much better looking as look far more expensive.
