What do you do?

Recently I’ve been annoyed at texts from a company offering work for nothing, hhhhhmmmm, not sure about that, so anyway, I used their method to opt out of receiving texts by sending “stop”, that didn’t work, so I rang the company, sounded like an awful company from the off, but I thought I got the message across to stop sending these damn texts, but low and behold I get another today!

What on earth does it take to stop these people harassing you??? What can I do????

What's the company, maybe we can spam them. It does get annoying.

Just put random fone numbers in,,then they will get fed up of calling them, like takeaway numbers or people you don’t like.

if its a company texting you as a private person and you've had no previous contact it's illegal,

even if you've contacted them previously they have to also give an optout option and abide in normally 4 days,

report them for harassment and report a spam text forward the text to 7726

can also report here https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/...uisance-calls/

I know you shouldn’t have to, but can you not block the number or do they use different numbers ?

I block them but a lot of companies have more than one phone line. I can get 5 or6 calls from numbers with 1 digit difference. I block one then the next comes a day later. Opting out by texting just confirms the numbers live and they'll carry on.
