I use Carpro Eraser but you can use a IPA mix for a wipe down. I think there was a tread recently about panel wipe and that it will leave nothing behind aswell.

IPA is not really a cleaner as such, it is able to remove light polishing oils however.
As far as I can tell, Serious Performance Paint Cleaner leaves nothing behind. Auto Finesse Tough Prep is also this type of paint cleaner. Panel wipe (which as discussed in that thread, BH Cleanser Fluid is a variety of) will leave the paint absolutely clean as the product lifts any oils, waxes or greases into solution to be taken off by your MF. Worth noting that if you're talking about sealants they may not be stripped or even affected at all by a panel wipe. Of course there are many types, with different chemical compositions so best to test. That said if I wanted to be sure of removing a sealant I'd look at a cleaner with an slight abrasive content eg http://www.in2detailing.co.uk/tac-sy...ner-150ml.html or even a very light finishing polish. Removing stubborn polish residue (wherever it is) is a job for panel wipe in my view. Last edited by steelghost; 19-07-2017 at 11:15 PM. |
