Unhappy "Thanks"

A friend of mine have borrowed my car because his own was away..
Fine I could go without it for a single day..
So on his way home he decided to go by the local petrol station..
He filled it up, which was a fair and nice gesture to say thankyou..
But but but..
As he could see it was a bit dusty he then decided to take it to a machine wash, so I could have a "nice shiny and clean car"..
What do you say to that

It isn't too bad as I had given it a couple of layers of protection but I can see I need to do a little work again

Year I know.. So I couldn't really say anything but "Thanks" with a bit of a smile..
It was a nice thought but now I know when someone uses my car I will be sure to tell them not to clean it or wash it..
But still a bit sad though

Maybe I am not a good mate, but none of my friends touch my car never mind putting it in a car wash...surely he know about you being a "detailing nut"?????

I would have kicked in the grapes as a thank you.

He knows I go into keeping my car clean but apparently he didn't think I was so "crazy" about it (as he said with big eyes )..
But now he knows he only shall buy some mints for the dashbords and fill her up, or give me some beers or something to thank me..
I couldn't kick him as he ment well and he thought he was doing me a favor to make me happy..
Its just typical
