Polish/Pads??

Hey all

As summer is here, looking to correct my paint after about 18 months.
Used some BH cleanser fluid other day on my paint this stuff seriously cleans the paint, uncovered light swirls and 1or2 slightly deeper swirls. I’m looking at at removing the lighter swirls, may try other deeper marks.

I’ve got Ford Fiesta 2012 metallic grey, intermediate paint.

I’m looking at trying DK 1.1 and Finale polish as it getting some good reviews.

Pad wise I’m confused, what difference between polishing pad/finishing pad, both same colour. Not sure what I need and how many use on full car.
Looking at hex logic with das6 pro.

Any advice or suggestions welcome. what would be in your basket?

A polishing pad will be a half way house between a finishing pad and cutting pad. It will have some bite to remove light/mild defects whereas a finishing pad has little bite and a cutting pad has plenty of bite.

I've worked on a lot of Ford cars with my business and a Scholl purple spider pad gets the job done nicely. Used it with S3 XXL Gold to cut and a Scholl honey pad with S40 to finish.

Could even use the Scholl Navy pad to cut too. The purple pad with S20 I found worked good as a single stage machine polish. Decent cut and good finish.
