Show News- SIMPLY JAPANESE IS HEADING TO BEAULIEU

Sunday July 29th

Beaulieu’s Simply Japanese is shaping up to be a supersize celebration of all Japanese cars with as many as 35 clubs and 550 cars already booked to attend the rally on Sunday July 29th.

One of the biggest Simply rallies in the Beaulieu events calendar, the cars on show in the grounds of the National Motor Museum will range from luxury saloons and cheerful camper vans to economy hatchbacks and high-powered performance cars, with all types and ages of Japanese cars on display.

The Z Club of Great Britain will be flying the flag for the classic Datsun and Nissan ‘Z’ sports cars, while Del Sol UK will be showcasing the open-top Honda CR-X, Mighty 5s will be celebrating the much-loved Mazda MX-5, the Herts Scooby Crew will be parking up in their Subarus and Mazda Bongo Owners’ Club members will be settling down for a relaxing day in their camper vans.

Look out for the Accord Type R Owners’ Club, the MkIV Supra Owners’ Club and the Nissan 200SX Owners’ Club, not to mention the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ Drivers’ Club and Japanese car group Kuruma Shakai. All will be celebrating the diversity of cars built in the land of the rising sun, with participating drivers able to park their cars in the colourful line-up to chat to like-minded enthusiasts, compare vehicles and explore all of the features of the Beaulieu attraction.

Visitors and participants can vote for their favourite car of the show in the People’s Choice Award, with the owner of the most popular machine presented with a commemorative Beaulieu trophy and a special Autoglym prize.

For those driving Japanese cars into Beaulieu to take part in the show, participant tickets are £10 an adult, £5 a child (aged 5-16) if bought in advance online, or £12 an adult and £6 a child if bought on arrival. All other visitors can buy a general admission ticket to Beaulieu at the standard attraction admission. For advance tickets or more information see https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-japanese/.

Event tickets include entry to all of the Beaulieu attraction, including the National Motor Museum and its collection of more than 250 vehicles, World of Top Gear, On Screen Cars, 13th century Beaulieu Abbey, the Montagu ancestral home of Palace House and its stunning grounds and gardens.

Entry is from 9am for rally participants, when the Brabazon Restaurant will be serving hot drinks and breakfast snacks. All other visitors should enter Beaulieu though the Visitor Reception building with a standard attraction admission ticket from 10am.

If you are taking part in the show and want to park up with your friends, please ensure that you all arrive together. To pre-book a club stand at least two weeks in advance of the event, contact the Beaulieu Events team at events@beaulieu.co.uk or on 01590 614614.

Simply Japanese is part of Beaulieu’s busy calendar of Simply rallies taking place throughout 2018, which also includes Simply Smart on Sunday November 11th. For more information on the Beaulieu events calendar see www.beaulieu.co.uk/events.
