I got an Amazon Echo (played with it for a few hours still don't see the point of it), got loads of Guinness and several bottles of whisk(e)y.

I use mine for music, radio and lighting. If you link it to a music service such as Spotify, and also link it to smart plugs and smart light bulbs it starts to become useful. You can even link it to wifi light switches and wall plug sockets. It could even open an electric garage door. Mine is also turning on our Christmas tree lights via a smart plug adapter so that I don't have to climb under the tree to find the switch.

None of the above are absolute 'musts', but then neither is listening to music.

Miss Eskimo was extremely generous and got me a set of these for my computer

Makes my home office set up nice and minimalist!

Very impressed with the sound from such small, active speakers. Obviously not the level of dedicated bookshelves with an amp and sub, but a great compromise between form, function and sound.

I'm a BlackBerry user. I'd rather have buttons and do the task myself. I can see me getting rid of it very soon.

I know the feeling, it feels to me very alien to talk to “myself” to get things done.
I hate “automated” phone systems: “make of car” Mercedes, “did you say Opel.
No I didn’t !!
I tried to use the voice activated system in the car once or twice, but is annoys me and in the time I done all the instructions, I have operated the switch.

I like gadgets, but for I won’t talk to them

I got money, a Kindle, a couple of Leicester City training tops. A knife block for my fancy cooking knives and the usual smattering of stocking fillers - socks, sweets/chocolates.

Nothing detailing related but hey the pennies might be buying me some bits and bobs.

A go pro 5 with all the accessories to take diving on my next trip, plus the obligatory pants and socks lol.

No detailing stuff but my Adams Black Friday deals were collected and looking forward to trying them out.

Got one too!.

Think it could become quite useful the more you use it and the more it gets developed.
