How do you maintain your wax finish?

You guys who use expensive waxes say £50-£100 mark, do you just wash the car or what products would you use that maintains the integrity of the finish?

Sometimes best to stick with brands

E.g. Autoglym UHD Wax and then wash with UHD wash

As above is good suggestions.

I tend to reapply wax quite regularly over spring / summer time, so do sometimes experiment with different shampoo to see how (if anything) it effects the wax, so in winter time, use the one that effects the less and I also tend to use a Aqua wax / BSD at 50/50 mix as a drying aid, so adds a little on top

Cheers guys, I ask the question as I'm about to dress my car in AG UHD wax and I've mostly used Colly 476 previous.

With Colly I was quite happy to wash with ONR and top up with BSD,Acryilic Spriz or DD Future Armour and the like.

I don't have a hose at home so ONR is great, but when I've prepped and applied the UHD Wax it looks like I'll be best to pop around to my Daughters to use her hose and wash with UHD shampoo.

I suppose I can use my other products up during winter when affecting the looks of the wax won't seem to matter as much?

So would your QD be brand specific eg. AG Rapid Detailer in my case?
I suspect using something like BSD would alter the characteristics of the wax otherwise?

Harry

I’d recommend AG Aqua wax as your drying aid / QD over the UHD wax you’re going to apply. Works very easy and smells great as well

Primarily, gentle washes and nix the use of aggressive APC's if at all possible. Fine waxes reward soft hands and gentle approaches.
