Tardis replacement possibility

Ive come across a 5l bottle of :

ZEP COMMERCIAL TAR & BITUMEN REMOVER 5LTR
https://www.screwfix.com/p/zep-comme...ver-5ltr/5884x

Five liters for under £30 and most people have a Screwfix local to them.

Looking at the MSDS sheets it looks almost identical to some MSDS sheets ive seen for some dedicated automotive mixes for tar and glue remover

MSDS
Chemical Name CAS-No. Concentration [%]
Solvent naphtha (petroleum), light arom. 64742-95-6 >= 30 - < 50
Citrus, ext. 94266-47-4 >= 20 - < 30
Kerosine (petroleum), hydrodesulfurized 64742-81-0 >= 10 - < 20
4-Nonylphenol branched, ethoxylated 127087-87-0 >= 1 - < 5

http://associatedfuelsystems.com/wp-...EMOVER-SDS.pdf

Im not a professional detailer and only have 1 car to look after so its not something Ill be picking up however if any one has any experience it would be good to hear it

About the same price as tardis, but i guess some people dont have easy access to their local rep. Be interested to see what its like in comparison

Has Tardis went up that much? I paid about 15 quid for my first 5l and 20 for my second which was only about a year or so ago.

Obviously if people are having issues with their rep thats not good I'm maybe fortunate and most will have a screwfix near to them so could be an option if it's any good

I tested white spirits and tardis and found no difference in actual real world use.

White spirits cost way less

Ive never met a auto smart rep as I mentioned im not a pro so if I wanted 5l I would have to go to ebay, and ive heard stories of less than reputable ebay sellers watering it down, how true it is I don't know but simply thought.

And I would feel a bit silly asking my local rep to pop down just so I can get some Tardis.

I've asked my local rep for just 2 cans of bubblegum blast before, I normally just meet them somewhere on their route in my local area, I've met two so far and they always have time for me and have a chat about products
