When I organised weekends away there, I used the Royal Oak Hotel/Stables hotel in Betws y Coed, Maenen Abbey Hotel to the north on the A470 and The Groes Inn (old favourite of Evo magazine but not cheap!) on the B5108 towards Conwy.

There are plenty of guest houses in ByC albeit it’s still popular with walkers and mountain bikers well into November.

Llangollen isn’t too far away and could be a little cheaper for accommodation

Spend some time driving the other roads in the area - the EVO Triangle is not all its cracked up to be - lots of far more enjoyable, challenging and quieter roads in the area

Chester is very close to North wales where it starts and may offer a wider selection of places to stay.

Forget the evo triangle. It's boring in comparison to what is on offer throughout north Wales. The a5 and a470 will get you to the areas you need to be then just head out from there.

Dad and I spent 3 days on motorbikes end of the summer and stayed in some B&B pubs around Abergele and llanrwst. Black lion in llangernyw is very nice.

There's a great little pub with rooms at Blaenau called "the grapes" fairly inexpensive but good food, beer and rooms

Anywhere from Colwyn Bay/Llandudno through to Bangor/Anglesey will give you quite a central location for exploring areas of outstanding natural beauty. I recall you asking about spa hotels - Brexit? Decent hotels won't be much dearer dave - Welsh B&B s tend to be dearer than England.whats your nightly budget, midweek or weekend?
