Jaguar XF S Gloss Enhancement Detail

I've just detailed my Jaguar XF 3.0 S and wanted to share the pics of my work. I've never been confident machine polishing before and had hands on training with CSP Detailing System and one of their detailers, Dave Hetherington up in Hyde. Under his guidance I've removed all the swirls in my paintwork and brought the paint up to a lovely gloss, finishing off with a nano sealant as my LSP. All detailing products were CSP Detailing System products. The training has helped me be more confident working on my own car and with practice I will hopefully soon be detailing mates cars too.

I bought the car in October last year, it was in need of a good detail, the paint was rough and swirled and although it looked clean, I could see it needed work. I got it to a reasonable standard but I was hand polishing. Using a Rupes DA and with Daves guidance, I've removed all swirls in my paintwork using the CSP No1 Cut Back which despite a gloss level of 4/10 still gave a good shine to the car despite its cutting power on a medium pad. I then went round the car using No2 Fine Polish to restore the shine in the paint and then it really started to look good. We finished off applying CSP Nano gloss sealant to the car which was way quicker than waxing and fingers crossed it provides the level or durability you get from a good carnuaba wax. I learned a shed load on my training and am so pleased with the results I got on my car. Hope you like it!

Snowfoam!

Washed and rinsed

Once clayed and prepared for polish, first stage was taking out the swirls with No1 cut back.

Once I was satisfied the swirls and light marks were removed, I moved on to CSP No2 Fine Polish.

My bootlid was covered in lots of swirls and scratches so it was particularly pleasing to see the results here!

Gave my enigne bay a clean too, polishing up the inner wings and bumper and ensuring the bonnet was clean once lifted up. All plastics dressed with CSP Prestige Interior Dressing.

Once that was done, the bodywork, glass and wheels were sealed using CSP Nano gloss sealant, this was the first time I'd used a nano sealant so we'll see how well it holds up. Gloss levels are impressive though!

Here she is all complete.

The polishes I used I was given as part of my training and I've got enough nano sealant to do 3 cars and a pot of their finest grade Carnauba wax which is going on the wifes Leon soon.
