Protection Dilemma

Met one of my good friends on Saturday for a quick pint mainly for him to show off his new Focus RS in black and for me to give it a once over. Detailing aside I really didn't want to like it as I'm not a fan of the switch to four doors. Having said that this black version really impressed almost hiding the rear doors in its angry styling. Back to the problem. On inspection having done 17 miles only, guess what, covered in swirls and white residue around the plastics. Don't just just love dealers! After I'd kindly pointed all this out came the second bombshell. "It's a good job we're having it protected. (In his words) Scotchguard I think with a 6 year warranty!!" After a quick dismissal of this I told him of his several options. To cut a long story short the scenario needs to be wash, decon, no correction and protection. This will be outside. My initial thoughts are using Carpro Essence followed by Kamikaze Myiabi. Essence really needs a 3 hour window before a coating but Myabi is solvent free so should negate this. Although I have used both before I've not used them together. If anyone has, feel free to advise. I am also open minded to other options. Ta!!

Worst paint ever. Allow yourself as much time as possible is my advice. It soft, sensitive, and always very poorly delivered

Thanks Matt. I've had some nice results with PA Invincible on soft Ford paint also. Few things to think about bud!

After a day or so contemplating what's best for this car that deserves the correct protection. I will take your valuable comment on board bud. With all the science of Si02, Ti02, polymers, resins and many other thing to consider I totally forgot the tape issue!!!!
