New car

I purchased a new Fiesta last week and as the weather was kind on Sunday i decided to give it a new car prep. I asked the dealer not to touch the car and it came filthy with all the stickers and plastic attached.

I took the wheels off (no pictures) and decontaminated these with Bilt Hamber Auto wheels, then gave them a wash with Auto Finesse Revolution. Once dry i applied Autoglym EGP before buffing off. I used Gyeon tire gel for the tyres.Cleaned the front plastic wheel arches with Meguiars APC mixed 4-1 before coating them with Meguiars Endurance tyre gel. The rear ones are carpet liner so a quick dry brush and that was it.

I coated the lower parts of the bodywork with Auto Finesse citrus power and pressure washed off. Next it was given a good coat of Bilt Hamber Korrosol. As you can see it was covered in contaminants.

The car was snow foamed with Bilt Hamber Autofoam and washed off again.
It was then washed with Bilt Hamber Autowash before blasted off once more, final stage was to go over the entire car with Am Details tar and glue remover before a final rinse. the car was then dried and coated in Autoglym EGP.

And reflection shot.

Really please with the way it turned out.

Looks very nice, how does it drive when compared to the last gen Fiesta, presuming you had or drove one?

I think it drives better than the last model, better cabin layout, more gizmos, Ford have done a good job with this.

Lovely jubbly, I'm struggling to get my head around the new Fiesta, it is very similar on the outside to the Mk 7, and the price hike. A zetec in metallic at my local dealer was priced at just over £16k which seems steep, especiall at 3 years it will probably trade at around £5.5k. Nice work, but with the weather for the next week I fear it won't stay so new looking for long.

This is a Zetec, but my local dealership were desperate for sales so managed to get the payments cheaper than the previous car.
