Hi all,

So 5 years ago after a trip around europe, my MGF went into storage. I had every intention of using it each summer but to no avail.

Once in storage, it stayed there for 66 months, protected by a cover, and cleaned as per my first ever DW Post: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=134077

So after 5 weekends of trying to get it started, I eneded up doing two simple things, replacing the battery and adding a gallon of fresh fuel. She started on second turn!

So here's a few pics from last weekend when she saw sunlight for the first time in 5.5 years!

Unwashed:

(yes that is pigeon poo that has eaten through the cover.

Inside:

Mould:

First Rinse:

General state of the paint and a cheeky 50:50 when trying different combo's:

Finished article:

Wash
Mix of Magifoam and Autobrite Direct Citrus wash
TBM with Autoglymn Bodywork Shampoo and Microfibre Noodle Mitt
Bilbbery Wheel Cleaner
Auto Finesse Oblitarate
VP Dragons Breath
Bilt Hamber clay with Water + Shampoo as lube
Auto Finesse Verso on hood and interior plastics

Correction by Rotary FLEX PE14-3 125
Multiple combinations of Hexlogic and Autobrite Direct pads
Menzerna FG 400, PO 106 FA, PO 85RD
Auto Finesse Power Seal via DA on Meguiars Microfibre finishing pad
2 layers of Auto Finesse Spirit
Megs Endurance on Tyres
Autoglym EGP and Mint Rims on wheels
Autosol on the exhaust tips

Oh how I have caught the bug since the first post mentioned above.

it's OK. I've come from a silverline so anything is an improvement!

It's light and easy to control. An absolute god send if you have contours and creases.

Starts at 1100rpm and goes very high though, so if you are looking for a <600rpm start and would like a flex then you'll need to go for a 150!

Highly recommended working with Hexlogic pads and Menzerna though.
