Jaguar X350 Super V8

Hi Detailing World, I finally got my account activated, so I thought I would show you my project car, a 53 plate Jaguar Super V8. For those who are not Jaguar experts, the Super V8 was the flagship XJ saloon featuring a 400bhp Supercharged V8 from the XJR and the interior close to a Daimler.

Mine is one of the early ones, so unusually it's a SWB. Aluminium bodywork means great MPG and acceleration and means it doesn't end up a pile of rust like previous Jags! Although, it still can get unsightly corrosion bubbles in the paint.

It is not exactly stock cosmetically, it has has had the 2008 X358 facelift, respray OEM Black Cherry and Portfolio vents and wings, done by the previous owner. I have also swapped the interior for a fully electric Ivory/Black one.

Since buying this car, TONS of work has been done, still so much to do

With out further ado, Some pictures:

Engine bay:

Thanks for looking!

Thank-you all!
My current plans are to complete the re-trim of headliner and pillars in black suede. Finish off engine bay and sort out spare wheel well. This car had LPG installed by the previous owner, I hated the mess of pipes and wires, so it was professionally removed last month.

The photos do flatter the paintwork, while it is generally free of scratches and buffs to a fantastic mirror, I want to give it a full respray due to corners cut in the prep. Paint is peeling off in places and dodgy panel alignment of front wings.

Aw man that is a beauty. It's the type of car Id love to have tucked up in the garage for weekends away.

Keep the updates coming chum. I'd love to see more of it.
