Hi all
ANy advice, there used to be a good place near ace cafe but that has been shut down
i dont have a driveway so its difficult to wash the car myself and the car is free of swirls, so i want to give it to someone decent to wash

I can't give you recommendations as not from that area, but another option would be to find a fuel station with a manual jet wash facility. You could take your products with you and give the car a proper clean, and thus minimising the risk of inducing swirls and the like a typical car wash place would do.

Hello, I sometimes use a car wash on East Lane, Wembley. They seem pretty good and I get good results.

Do they follow decent enough procedures to not ruin the paintwork ? To be honest I'm still looking for a half decent valeter in Central/West/North West London and have been for ages now.

Because there's such high turnover at some of the Central London valeters you can have a good wash one week and then a terrible one a few weeks later. Bit hit and miss.

That place next to Ace Cafe was alright but then the ownership changed and it all went downhill.

Also a lot of garage manual jet washes have annoyingly placed cables so if you don't want them touching the car body whilst using it you have to change the cars position which gets a bit annoying.

There's a place in Golders Green/Temple fortune that are ok. Never taken my car there but have taken another.

PW hoses didn't drag on the car, clean mitts (also saw many other mitts being washed in a washing machine which is good to see), decent/safe method and good results. Surely about as good as you'll get from a car wash...

Oh nice do you have any more details on it ?

Shame there aren't more decent-ish places for a wash you can trust in the Greater London area :-(

It's called Mint Green car wash but I just went to google it for you and it seems there's lot of bad reviews on google. Maybe a change of ownership but judging by the comments it's probably a no-go now...

Oh ok lol yeah thats what Im talking about sometimes everyone just changes and it goes downhill fast.

Even the self serve jet washes near me are too space constrained and you have to move the car otherwise you can't wash them without dragging the hose across the panels. Thats if they even work or don't force you to use some silly preset program.
