DIY Ceramic coating for new solid black car?

Hi all

I have just ordered a new family wagon, delivery is early April. It's an Audi Allroad.

It gets parked on the street so always at the mercy of the elements. It's many years since I've had a solid colour, but it was a cheap lease deal and I didn't want to spend more on metallic.

Is there an easy DIY ceramic coating I could apply straight out of the dealer, that would stand up to the elements? I appreciate it'll be the usual dealer-standard prep. But a couple of hours applying something would be really appealing, if it would make a difference to the wear of the car.

The easier and more fool-proof the application, the better. I have details in the past, but far from an active detailer these days.

Looking forward to suggestions

I would look at tack systems moonlight , think of it like a light weight ceramic that will last 9 months . Check out forensic detailing review of it on you tube

Moonlight is an exceptional product. I’ve this topped on ceramic coated cars to boost them even further
It’s as close as your gonna get towards a friendly durable coating that isn’t a full ceramic

This isn't a coating but might be worth a look http://www.raceglaze.co.uk/race-glaz...gy%20products/

Sonax PNS is also pretty long lasting http://www.in2detailing.co.uk/sonax-...l-aerosol.html
