Noob reporting for duty

Hi Everyone,

I have been lurking a while waiting for my account to be activated so I can give you all a piece of my mind!

I am a proud owner of an Audi Q5. Not proud that its black.

I have read many posts trying to learn and understand what is the best and safest way to maintain and detail my car. I have been overwhelmed with the info and help on offer here and sadly my wallet has also been overwhelmed. This is your fault lol.

I have purchased thus far:

Meguiars DA 320
Nilifisk Pressure washer 110
Snow lance and foam, clay bar, clay lube, Polish, compounds, wax, shampoo, panel wipe, buckets, hoses, microfibre mitts, microfibre cloths..a lot of these.
Application pads, DA pads, toothbrush, step ladders, extention leads.
interior detailing brushes, vacuum attachments, interior detailer spray, air fresheners, Alpine x702d ICE (this might not have been your fault )
Drying towels, wheel brushes, wheel cleaner, glass cleaner.

There is more but I dont want my wife seeing

Still to purchase:

Tyre dressing, fallout decon, iron decon, dog dryer (my wing mirrors are designed to keep the panels moist ), I currently tie a MF cloth around the mirror when it is leaking to keep the panel dry. Finally (I wish) the wee Shine mate rotary that can reach parts my DA cant.

This is only month 2.

Joking aside, I would like to thank you all for pointing me in the right direction (and cleaning me out). This is now a hobbie for me and maybe a small earner when i retire. My neighbours think there is something seriously wrong with me and are frequesntly remarking "he washed the damn thing yesterday".

I have tons of questions that I will ask gradually, Im consious that this is already a lenghy post .

TL/DR

Hi everyone

Welcome, it's addictive and soon (if you haven't already) you will be sneaking new 'stuff' under the radar so the Mrs doesn't ask why you bought more as it all looks the same to her!!!
