Is it wrong I'm so excited??

Bit of background my folks are in their 70s and have no understanding of my "addiction" to detailing.

Anyway couple of month ago I'm at my folks and I see the door of my mum's car looks like it's been sanded. I ask what's up with it to be told it had been hit in the supermarket while parked (shock horror it was unattended and no details left!) So it had went in to a bodyshop to get a scratch removed. It looked to me like it had been sanded but not polished so I said to them to take it back. "It'll just need a wash we'll get it later........."

I offered to take a look at it but this was refused so left it with them.

Fast forward to last weekend when I got a phone call from my mum to tell me her doors a mess and she "tried to rub it off" but it wasn't fixing it could I take a look at it.

Weather forecast is good for tomorrow so picking it up at 9 to bring it to mine to see what I can do with it.

Car is black and has been washed by my dad with his trusty hose, bucket, fairy liquid and sponge (I've offered in the past to do it but he's happy doing it so I leave him to it)

Can't wait to get stuck into it and expecting a decent turnaround so again I ask.......is it wrong I'm so excited

Not at all bud. You'll be able to do the whole car at your own leisure
So make sure we get to see your before and after pictures bud

Anyway your work is excellent it will be like giving them back a new car.

Cheers Mick means a lot coming from you. It'll not look as good as the Maestro though

I'll definitely be taking pics and doing a write up for me it just adds to the enjoyment it's good to get it up on here to see peoples thoughts.

Curious to see what condition it's in inside and out. I've only got it for the day and its supposed to be heavy rain here on the Sunday so I'll do what I can

The joys and pleasures of detailing and what better satisfaction than seeing your parents happy with the results. I too look forward to seeing your handy work.

It's not wrong at all if you ask me.
You'll enjoy your self and your mum will (hopefully) be super impressed with her shiny car

I've got my mum's car for a few days next week so I'll be doing the same in the evenings and I'm looking forward to it too maybe that can be a Showroom thread

My Mum's standing birthday present is as much detailing as I can do in one day on her car It's only a little blue 60-plate Honda Jazz but she really likes it and I get a kick out of shining it up for her. Looking forward to seeing the write up
