They corrode very badly and the center caps are always wobbly where they've been levered off instead of using the tool for them

I need to have mine refurbished but I have another set of wheels that may end up on the car
Cool stuff! If you decide to part with the standard wheels you have, let me know

Great updates and what a colour - very nice indeed, really suits the car and looking forward to more updates.

Interested to see what wheels you have in store - do like the standard ones and think they'd look superb once reconditioned

It's been a long time since I updated this, but there hasn't been much to update.
Progress has been slow - realistically it need a day to finish but trying to pin myself and my friend who painted it down has been very difficult.

Here's the bits I have managed to do.

Both sides have been wet sanded and polished.
Still need to be cut again and refined back.

Before.

During.

After...

I lost the photo

I waited late for a customer one evening and decided to apply PPF to the bonnet.
There are no patterns for the mk1 Focus so it had to be a bulk fit.

All edges wrapped.

Washer jet holes cut out.

And finished up.

A peek of the other Focus I bought for the wheels...

OZ Super Turismo. They need refurbishing but that can wait.
They're close enough to the original ST170 wheels while bringing a bit of individuality.

Special order from Eibach.
They don't have over the counter springs for the estate model so these were made for me I felt very special.

(you can see how the side panels look after flatting and polishing too)

And finally, the ST170 badge.
The ST letters always fade, and since I had some Colorado Red from my Fiesta, I used it to colour the letters

I have door handles back for the car now and some of the mouldings so there could be some more progress before the end of the year

Great looking car.

I had one new in 2003, only issue I had in 2 years was the wiper stalk, used to play up on intermittent..

I recently googled the reg and came up for sale at just £1k !! Couldn't believe it it also had the xenon's and climate control (not sure what the pack was called).. I was tempted to buy it back but couldn't get away with it.
