Need car polish, narrowed down, anyone who can provide feedback?

Hi all,

first post

we have a car (or two) in need of some polishing, which will be done by hand, its been a couple months since we ran out and just have not bought another bottle of anything so just washed and waxed for now.

Now we do not need anything expensive, something basic that gets the job done.

So the cheapest options so far have come down to the:

Autoglym Super Resin Polish
Auto Finesse 3 in 1
Mer Polish
PTFE Carnauba Car Polish (looks good - Sold 6000+ on eBay by eautopro)
Meguiars Ultimate Polish
CG V4 (possible to apply by hand i think)
Poorboys Polish with Sealant

One car being rosso red and the other black.

Then i might go over it with Glaze if possible, but this may not be possible on products like AF 3 in 1, or CG V4, PTFE or Poorboys as these include sealants/waxes.

They will all be topped off by wax in the end.

All under £25 which is good enough as used the old versions of SRP and the old MER polish and it was quite good for the price but just wondering.

Thanks

I've not used CG V4, but use the V32-38 range
Love them!
I can only assume that V4 will be just as good!

Very easy products to work with and I find I get great results

prima amigo will clean, cut slightly and fill swirls etc and leave an awesome finish ready for the wax to seal it in

For maximum convenience, I would just buy a bottle of SRP from somewhere like Halfords and top with your wax. As long as it is not a cleaner wax, you should be fine.

Out of the two, I'd suggest Auto Finesse Tripple or Auto Glym SRP.

Both have nice cleansing power, a little bit of cut and fill well.
I'd say Tripple offers the best filling and protection - nothing long term but you can get around 4 weeks from it.

Tripple would get my vote. Easy to apply and leaves a nice finish

Srp and tripple both get my thumbs up. If your going to apply a wax afterwards personally I'd use Srp.

Simmo.

V4 seems to work well, seems old though, i found a 5 year old video with CG guys using it, unless its been updated. Its got the protection along with it, which can be topped off.

Do you know where it would fit on the autopia chart? I would think around 3 for very light swirl removal and finishing polish as it has a sealant.
