An Interview with Extreme Detail

Can you start by telling us a little about yourself?
37 yrs old live with my other half lena for 3 yrs now and we have a 11 month old golden lab called oscar

What else can I tell you about me?
getting back into old school bmx racing its good to get the banter with all the old guys and even Sir chriss hoy. like to take oscar down the beach and long walks

How did you ‘get into’ detailing?
about 14yrs ago i had a mk11 golf gti and did the shows and got into the first performance VW

How long have you been detailing at ‘this’ level?
about 3yrs now i think


How did you learn to machine polish?
was about 16 yrs ago now as i use to help my mate out in his body shop out, but it wasn`t cars, it was motorbikes. we didn`t have paint gauges back then and i didn`t burn one pannel

How many cars have detailed over the years?
lots i dont count them all

Tell me about your first detail
my old mk11 golf gti show car back in 1996

What do you drive and how often is it detailed?
just got rid of the merc as our dog is getting big now so for the time being i`ve got a passat estate and would like to detail it more often but i`m to busy detailing clients


What is your favourite car to detail and why?
a bad one that has alot of defects then you can show off your skills

Do you prefer to detail a Supercar or everyday car?
hyper cars

What piece of detailing kit do you think every detailer should have in their arsenal?
(excluding the obvious stuff like wash mitts etc.)
paint gauge and a good head

What are your current favourite brands and why?

zaino

What do you do when you’re not detailing?
fix trains and getting into old school bmx racing as i use to race 20yrs ago

A few quick fire questions
Ferrari or Lambo ? Zonda
Wax or Sealent ? they both have a place
Fish and chips or bangers and mash ? chicken curry
McDonald's or Burger King? KFC
Coffee or Tea water

like to keep myself to myself these days and also busy keeping my clients happy, as i`m happy when i see there big smile on there face


oh and my web site is so needing up dated just needing someone that can do extreme detail justice

just keep an eye out this year for more top end motors guys
