Nanolex Textile Sealant
Following on from Rob's use of it on a soft top, I though I would try it out on the cloth seats of my 530 Touring.
This has been doubling up as a builders van for the last couple of weeks lugging plasterboard and timber, so after giving it a clean up I appliead the sealant a per the instructions ![]() ![]() I then used a hair drier to aid curing. After it had cured I pured some water on it, will try with something else that is likely to cause staining at another date. The video And the beading shots, these were taken about 30 minutes later, so you can see the liquid hasn't soaked into the fabric. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Impressive stuff Bryan, what concerns me is that if you treat all the upholstery and carpets, will it fill up like a swimming pool.

What's the effect on the person sitting on the seat like? Many sealants of this nature end up giving a very "sweaty" environment to live with...

The fabric should still remain fully breathable I would imagine.

I would hope so too, but I wondered if that was an aspiration or whether anyone knew...
