Ultimate Shine: GTR Pearl with a bit Pr Awesome
Hi Guy’s
I am beginning to like these a lot. This one was especially nice in Pearl White. This car was booked in as I had another job booked for this week but the customer had to cancel due to car not running. Anyway a few before, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now the customer asked me if I could do anything with the paint match on the bumpers as there was a big difference in the shade of white. ![]() ![]() Car was washed as usual with All Purpose cleaner first and then Hyper Wash and 2BM also cleaned wheels with AS smart wheel cleaner @ 4:1. Arches and tyres done with super Degreaser 4:1 ![]() Car taken inside and patted dry using drying towel. ![]() Meg’s mild and purified water was used on car there was a fair amount of contamination on the car as you could clearly see it on white. The main correction work on the car was carried out using a Gloss It yellow pad and Gloss It evolution cut. Nice combination I found as the yellow pad gave that bit more correction ability than the green and Meg’s 205 is good but I like to vary my choice of compound. ![]() Now was the time to make a decision about the bumpers what could I do to sort out the difference in colour. I tried a gloss approach with a sealant that made the flake pop but it didn’t make a difference. ![]() So here is what I done. Before ![]() During ![]() After ![]() Another during ![]() After ![]() Here is a good 50/50 against the bonnet. So the right of the bumper before treatment the left after and the bonnet what it needs to be! ![]() Time was getting on so instead of working late I decided to go in early the next day. 4.30am I went in as the car was getting picked up by Middlehurst Nissan @ 11am. An after of the front bumper @ 6am ![]() Tail pipes done in the usual manner ![]() By machine first and then refined by hand ![]() Wheels sealed with blackfire metal sealant and tyres dressed with Gloss It signature tyre dressing. ![]() Car was refined all over using Gloss It polish and the blue gloss it finishing pad. LSP = Polished Bliss “Project Awesome”. Applied by DA @ speed 5 with a gloss it finishing pad. ![]() ![]() This was left for 1 hour to cure and then buffed off. To top was 2 coats of Gloss It Concorso one done by DA and the last done by hand. Wipe down with Gloss It gloss enhancing spray. Well the transporter appeared early that annoyed me as I had set aside 1 hour for pictures so here is the afters’. A bit of a dull day but I think I have found the perfect place for my pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
