Nanolex Fabric Sealant 1st Use

Got some of this to try on the roof, as the current waterproofing was pretty much expired ad the roof had long ago stopped beading as it should...

Applied as instructed and left for about 4 hours, then a quick water test

The fabric was 100% dry after this little test, using about 500ml of water in total on that little area. Its VERY easy to use, and easier than I expected. Just mist on using the pump on the bottle and make sure you get even coverage, which is easy with the sprayer on the bottle. Then just keep dry for a few hours. Easy.

Thanks Florian for your help with instructions

That looks great, hardly retains any water at all which is just what you want.

Personally I'm unsure on the price & ease of application of the Nanolex, I had excellent results lasting well in excess of 12 months with a can of Heavy Duty ScotchGuard that cost £5

Either way, l@@king good fella

yep - the fabric was 100% dry afterwards.

It was actually VERY easy to use. Cleaned well, rinsed well, dried. Then it just mists on, and the bottle is VERY good at getting good coverage, and you simply leave it to dry. Florian said 4-5 hrs to cure then its done.

I stretched out the sample so I'm not expecting the full durability but first impressions are good. Rain forecast next few days so I'll see how I did with application and how it performs. I dont actually know what it costs, as I was given it by someone else, so cant comment on that

We try to make our products as easy to apply as possible, and I think the application of the Textile Sealant couldn't be any easier...

The durability as at least one season (if you don't clean the fabric with any harsh cleaners that you won't need after the application).

Price is 24,90€ for 200ml.

BTW - does the Scotchguard last that long with one application or do you need to reapply?

We applied this on a detail yesterday and 12 hours later it rained so we got some pictures and a short video....these beads are about the 2-3" in diameter

and when the hose is put on it...

Have you ever tried putting water like a real rain shower on it?

After heavy rain the fabric is wet, just like with every other fabric sealant like rag top or renovo. I couldnt see any benifits for this expensive nano stuff against the classic fabric protectants

yep - it beads really well for a good while but eventually does soak in to the fabric - I have it on my own car. It does help resist stains from bird crap etc though and my 2.5 yr old hood looks like new still. One benefit is the long life of these sealants so you dont need (expensive) reapplication very often. The Renovo kit is expensive IMHO considering how long it lasts etc. IIRC these also offer UV protection as well to resist fading.

Thanks for the update Damon , the water run off is very impressive indeed. Does it leave any residue streaks of any kind ?

Does it just leave protection or does itdarken the fabric and then leave protection as it dries ?

Sorry for the questions but I really could do with doing mine again and can't decide which one to pick...

its excellent Adam

no stains or issues like I had before and impressive beading. I didnt really notice any darkening or anything. It just looked really clean and new.
