A question for the knowledgeable, i'll be trying ONR for the first time this weekend and I thought my water hardness was 180ppm, just checked and it's reading 277ppm, can anyone advise on the dilution ratio's

Prespray ml per Ltr?

Wash solution ml per Ltr?

Just add 10% more ONR than ussual. Wash & dry panel per panel and you will be fine.

Looking at point 10) of the thread the US ppm don't apply to the Uk as there water is much harder, still

ONR wash dilution ratio is 256:1 or 30ml per 7,5 l. So just use 35 ml instead.

Got it now A&J it was me reading point 10) of the thread incorrectly and thinking the guide lines where for the US, the post actually says

"What follows are only guidelines for the UK and Europe."

All makes sense now, I think I'll stick with the guide lines to start with for the prespray and 30ml to 7.5ltr for the wash solution as not sure how my 277ppm falls in the spectrum as in moderate to hard, hard or very hard.

Thanks

Bruce

I also have no idea but ONR acts as a water softener and if you wash & dry one panel at a time you wont have any water spotting.

Well I tried ONR with the big red sponge for the first time Saturday morning and the car is nice and clean, no apparent swirls/scratches (it had been washed the previous weekend though so only a weeks worth of summer dust etc on it) also noticed it dried very easly suppose that's the lubrication of the ONR and all told it took an hour so a lot quicker than my normal 2BM

Mixtures as follows

Prespray 60ml/2oz to 2 Ltr used 1.5Ltr, 45ml/1.5oz

Was Solution 30ml to 7.5ltr used 3.75Ltr, 15ml/0.5oz

So 60ml/2oz for one large saloon £1.44 per wash, not cheep , the 32oz bottle isn't going to last half a year think I'm going to drop the prespray to 30ml to 2Ltr unless anybody has any thoughts.
