While 4K's a lot of poppy, it's quite comparable to doing the same to a Mini (that's all I can base it on), and getting a very similar percentage of power increase too.

Good on you for saving and upgrading the car to such a high standard, that's what I say.... anyone can see you've gone all-out to get it and keep it so nice.

I do love a bit of spending to constantly upgrade (just don't tell the wife )

What about a Land Rover style snorkel lol.

The other Fiesta I've seen looks similar to yours tbh, OE wheels, stripes, mudflaps etc and a bit lowered.
It's the noise it makes when I've seen it that gives away it's had some work and It's not simply a massive noisey exhaust either.

The air filter goes straight into the SuperCharger, which then goes into the intercooler, so there's not really room to put it anywhere else. It is quite a tight engine bay.

Does sound like it's charged then. The main noise you will hear is a kind of sucking noise (despite it actually blowing). You obviously get the whine from the charger as well, but the bov is the most obvious noise. I'll have a look on the forum see if i can see who it might be.

Thanks for the great comments. I've not looked at costs on SC the mini, but interesting to know it's about the same price (not that i'm thinking of doing that!!).

More progress to come....

Rotrex's don't whine like a roots type charger though, its all induction noise.

Great project!

Just a thought - to help with the filter being down so low and directly on the charger, why don't you get some samco flexi hose and mount if behind the grill? It'll get a direct cold air feed and won't suffer with being next to the road.

Very sorry to hear about your friend. Was that Mikey? There was a thread about his crash on STOC.

Thank you.
Yes, Mikey, I went to school with him, top lad gone too soon. Car looks great, take care of her!
