Marquee/tent for detailing

Hello again,

I'm struggling to find a small clean garage/lock up/unit to work in and may have to erect a Temporary garage (I don't know what to call it) to work under.
Does anyone have recommendations or experience please?

I've just found this; the reviews are excellent.

If it's the first one in the link, 3m doesnt give a lot of room to work either side, especially as the sides slope in. Most cars are circa 1.7 /1.8m wide.

Sorry Shiny, I picked that quickly as an example. I have just looked at the 6.1 x 3.7 at £400ish.

Is it permanent(permit required?) or only temporary while you detailing?
it will take more than 2 people to setup for such a big size. and you need at least another meter on each corner for anchoring (don't underestimate the wind).

I guess buying a generator and work in a multi story car park may be easier.

Not sure if you are serious!

Thanks Dummer, I am not sure if you are serious about the car park but, it is quite a good idea! I've just measured 6.1 x 3.7m in my drive/ front garden; it takes up most of it so a big grey Nissan hut is not going to please my wife or neighbours. It is just so difficult to find the best method of working cleanly and professionally.

I was half joking / serious.

I helped my friend in their apartment car park before. Only problem is some carpark are down on light and space between cars.

I guess maybe try to polish you car at night in one of those "hand car wash" company's bay in the shopping mall. They usually have more lights.

What is it you're trying to eliminate by having one of these? Direct sunlight etc?

Are there any 'tents' which could be used for keeping the sun off the car - with just a 'roof' and no sides which can be put up by one person?
