As long as it's cold and crisp with no Northerly wind then I'd wash my car. or at best just the PW.

Agree a pressure wash is bare minimum, while not fully satisfactory it takes the worst off and can hand wash the next day the conditions don't lend themselves to frost bite

Just got my wheels back and have been chomping to clean polish and then apply some alloy protection before putting them on the car, sadly on call this weekend and I have been freezing my nads off outside all weekend so hopefully next week I will be out there even though they say it may snow

It’s this time of year that a rinseless wash is an absolute god send.

Didn’t get time today to give the chauffeur work horse it’s daily clean, but, it’ll get it’s rinseless wash tomorrow.

Although the alloys did get a wash tonite. The odd strange look from people as it was starting to get dark!, meh!

Not just me then. Q7 got a full Jeffs Werkstat Prime job with 2 coats of Jett
The Mrs Merc was far simpler as I gave it a good clean last week. It helps having hot & cold outside taps. Hot Jetwash takes some of the winter blues away. Many cups of tea and was out there from 10:00 until dark.

I did a 50/50 test a while ago and found on the side of the car that I didnt snowfoam first, there was a light traffic film left after pressure washing, which was gone on the side that I had foamed. So now I always snowfoam first, then PW as a minimum and find that does a pretty good job when the weather would otherwise discourage even the hardy souls from venturing outside.
I still like to wear shorts though, can't stand having wet jeans on.

Cheers,
MarkP

Brr - now inside for a coffee!

It's 2 Celsius here in N Italy and the wind chill factor makes it feel around freezing. This is the warmest it has been for a week.

This morning (before the sun had heated up the environment, natch) I took the wheels off my Panamera to give the wells and underside a good clean before I store it for a month. Oh well, an hour of discomfort and all is good on that front.

I'm about to take advantage of dry conditions to take the car for a spin to dry it off, after I've given the body a once over with the PW and then I am done for a while.

I can then thaw out...

Peter

Both car and van in desperate need of some TLC... hoping to get the van wet washed tomorrow morning and then ill probably take the car to the local touchless car wash (although it not quite touchless as the wheels get a good brushing... but they are likely to be reconditioned soon anyway)
