DIY hose-eez - detail guardz - hose slide / hose blocker

Decided I was tired of my hose getting caught up derelict my wheel and couldn't quite justify to the misses spending 15 quid or so on some plastic things to go under my wheels so I made some.

The design is not my own as I've seen it on her before just cut in to half's not quarters, it's not really a design as such just a tub cut in to 4 pieces.

Excuse the dirty car it's about to have a wash aided by my hose blockers

I used a ruler to draw a strate line then a square to draw the other line, the cut it on my miter/chop saw.

Clean edges up with file and sand paper and you've killed 10 mins

I only had the one so had to do quarters I think if I had a few I would do what you've done a just cut them in half, they do take up less room in my storage box thing in quarters tho

They grip in to the tire like the "proper" ones do, they are quite firm once in place.

You will have 2 spares then, they will come in handy sooner or later as the sweet tubs are not obviously as thick plastic as the "proper " ones and will eventually break but they are just so easy to make its a no brainier.

I'm keeping a look out for a plastic bowl or something in a similar shape to the sweet tubs but ticker plastic for my next set
