While i was doing this the dealers trying to sell him life shine, with me going no no no no wait wait wait at him he said ill think about it
now is it worth the 300 pound asking price ? i realy dont think it is since ive read a few things on here and on the web about it so please help me to talke him round the sales crap
What do you sugest to do the job ???:thumb:
It's a good product if applied correctly but you can't trust the dealers to do it. The dealers valeting teams just don't have the time to spend to do the job right. You can buy the Life Shine kits yourself from various "sources" and do it yourself. The retail price of this from the Auto Glym reps is around £60 which leaves a markup of around £250 which is why the stealer pushes customers to take it.
I think, and I may be wrong here, but the Lifeshine maintenance pack that the customer is given, contains a bottle of SRP, and another of EGP. These I gather are supposed to be applied twice a year, which begs the question, just what is someone actually paying for when they buy the original treatment, and why bother when you have to do that every six months? As far as I know, the dealer applied treatment is merely slightly stronger versions of SRP/EGP anyway.

Normally the dealer will quickly put on "pdi" kit first WHICH HAS:Gloss protectant , Upholstery and carpet protector B, glass guard C and Screen wash booster D, it says on the PDI box "PDI KIT - for dealer use only remove from vehicle be for delivery "and only put your free AG kit in boot with out the small bottles that come with kit as this is kept and is can do 4/5 more cars.
so buy the kit els where and have all the contents of the box and retreat as and when.
