You've gotta see this...
I was having a nice day relaxing in the garden yesterday when the phone rang and my lovely assistant (my wife) answered it to find a rather peculiar person on the other end. He asked a million questions about this and that and finally she landed a polishing appointment for today. On the phone the guy said that "... the car was in average condition..." so I expected to be through pretty quickly, but on arrival this is what I found:
Jeeeezzz! Ouuuch! Eeek! Ooooohhh! Aaaaaah! The entire car was like this and I thought, "Geez, did he wash this damn thing with a Brillo pad or what?" These last 2 parts were so bad that there's not a single reflection anywhere! The pics don't really convey the magnitude of disaster... Now get this: The owner of the car was right there next to me the whole time, asking questions about this and that and really I like answering questions and enlightening people about car care (OK not while I'm working...) . Anyway, he kept mentioning that "... something must have been in the sponge that I used..." and how there were "spots all over the car... blah, blah, blah..." and about halfway through the polishing I asked him, "What kind of sponge did you use?" and he replied, "Hang on, I think there's one lying around here." And this is what he came back with... brace yourselves... HE USED A BRILLO PAD TO WASH HIS CAR WITH!!! SEVERAL TIMES!!! Sweet Jesus! I thought it was only a detailer's urban legend! I was speechless.... had to count to 3, gain my composure and just say, "Well, those are not good to use because they're made for dishes, not cars." I'm sure you all can imagine what that really translated to in detailer's language . The he went on to say, "I can't believe they don't tell you this stuff in the users manual. You know, what and what not to use." And just to confirm, I asked him if he used the green side... Place comment here >> ___________. I "achieved" roughly a 60-70% correction on this one because the paint was already oxidized in some places, the scratch thicknesses were too random to pull off anything spectacular and I honestly didn't want to risk buying this guy a new paint job by cutting any deeper than I did. Not the greatest shots, as I was running out of light. Still full of scratches, but they're all nice and rounded now and the customer was actually happy as a pig in poo. I upsold him to some CG XXX which also added to the value of it because nobody else uses high-quality waxes in the country . Let this be a lesson to all of you that THEY do exist... muhahahaaaa !!

Without sounding harsh serves him rite to be honest anyone who thinks using that is a good idea shouldnt touch a car and then expect it to look spot on.
And he wondered why it was so damaged should have scrubbed it against his face and said imagen how the car felt, lol |

Already tried that too
![]() Tried putting www. at the beginning, going to http://apolloauto.hu too, but nothing. Safari can’t find the server. Safari can’t open the page “http://apolloauto.hu/” because it can’t find the server “apolloauto.hu”. |

It's every thread by apolloauto that won't show - unless it's because it's a hungarian site - perhaps it blocks foreign domains?
I'll have a look.. |
