Perfection Detailing Vs Lotus Elise (lots of pics)
This detail came of the back of the lotus Esprit I done last week in preparation for the car going up for sale http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=95283 the dealer sold the car a couple of days after I had detailed it and the car sales company had asked me to give to give this Lotus Elise which came in as a part ex against the esprit the similar treatment.
The car was in the showroom when I arrived this morning so I pulled it out and brought it round to the unit ready to make a start, like the esprit I done this is also a fairly rare Lotus 1 of only 100 made. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() First up I cleaned the roof with a mild G101 mix and soft brush. ![]() I then foamed the car with a mix of elite snow foam and maxi suds. ![]() ![]() I then applied G101 to the door, boot and bonnet shut shuts and agitated with SV brush as well as all the other nooks and crannies around the car. Megs super degreaser was sprayed under the wheel arches. ![]() ![]() ![]() Polish residue removed from the grills. ![]() Snow foam was pulling all the dirt out of hard to reach areas. ![]() After a good blast with the pressure washer I foamed the car again with megs hyper wash and cleaned the wheels with AS smart wheels. ![]() Another rinse down before being washed 2bm with megs hyper wash left it looking like this. ![]() ![]() ![]() I then moved inside and clayed the car with sonus green and last touch, paintwork was squeaky clean which was a nice surprise and not a drop of tar in sight. I then removed the hood and hung it up to dry. ![]() I removed a few bits to make it a bit easier clean the interior. ![]() I then started on the interior which looked like this. Before. ![]() ![]() ![]() After a quick hoover I set about cleaning all the aluminium panels. ![]() Pedals were also done. ![]() Mats were cleaned with G101 through the George hoover. ![]() Sorry for the lack of pics from here on in but I just got in the flow and forgot many more. The delicate alcantara seats were cleaned with AS brisk foam and a damp micro fibre cloth which always gives great results. Leather was treated with gliptone. After. ![]() ![]() ![]() Although the body work was tar free there was plenty under the wheels arches. Before. ![]() Then removed with AS tardis and micro fibre. ![]() Wheel inners were also pretty bad. ![]() Now just like the esprit I had done the paintwork was pretty dull again, not as bad but in need of some attention to bring the best back out in it. ![]() So lime prime again came to the rescue via the G220 on a 3M waffle pad. ![]() While I was prepping the paint one of my employees went round and sealed the wheels with poorboys wheel sealant and polished the exhaust with autosol and wire wool. He also went round and wiped the door shuts down with last touch once I had finished with the lime prime stage. I then applied SV bos and left for approx 30 mins before removing with a plush micro fibre towel, I then gave the paint a wipe down with Z8. Plastics were dressed with megs all season dressing. Afters. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And then the sun came out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I then moved the car into the showroom. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking. |

Very impressive
I guess it's showing my age but I recognized the colour scheme as soon as I saw it
