I just blast it with a jet washer. Seems to keep on top of it if you wash the car every week. Just make sure your car is unlocked when you do it as sometimes it can set the car alarm off lol!

It would be easier to spend a bit of time every 3 months or so just giving a quick once over with a polisher rather than dealing with that God awful ash stuff on a weekly basis! Get a waterproof one...
