You need to take the wheel off, lay it flat in the shade and spray on. Leave for 5 mins then agitate. It took 3 hits like this for me a couple of years...

Even on a wax /sealant finish many people use quick detaillers, the siO2 spray you mention is just a QD really.

You can apply Cure over the top of what is on your car now, it is quick and say and can applied to a wet car. Cancoat would require at least a chemical decon / wax removal to get the best out of it....
