It truly depends what you want them for. If its for lighting up swirls, avoid flat panel lighting or strip lights, they don't work nearly well enough. But if you want an even spread for general "garage use" they would be ideal.

As far as lights for swirls, a more direct bulb, no filters without too big of a beam angle is what you want, ideally over 4500k
