Which clay to use

I have an AG clay kit and the clay is getting to end of life.

I have looked at mitts / cloths and still not convinced - so what clay bar / lube would people recommend?

Bilt Hamber or AM Clay both can be used with just water.

Always used BH clays because they are simple and reliable, they do work well with just water but a squirt of car shampoo in the spray bottle doesn’t hurt. Remember there are 3 grades of clay, hard, medium and soft with the hard being the most aggressive, removing the most deeply embedded contaminates but at the same time having the most chance of marring the paint. The grade also affects how easy they are to work, i was using BH regular last week when the temperature was around 2-4 outside and I struggled to fold the clay despite warming it in water beforehand.

The convenience of using a cloth has swayed me to stop using clay bar.

With the weather the way it is just a bucket of warm soapy water or ONR plus ONR prewash strength to spray on panel to start.

I didn't know at the time and I don't how it happened but once I had something in a clay bar that put a lovely scratch in my car.
