Transit custom radio

Hi, hoping someone might be able to help
My 2014 ford transit custom radio started giving what I would call white noise from the speakers in the morning when I open the door Looking at transit forums it’s a common problem, so I have started to look for a second hand replacement but the codes on the radios are all different My part number on my radio is BK2T-18C815-FJ serial number is Z005024 model RADIO AHU is there anything I should be looking for code wise ? A new one is £600 from ford so I don’t really won’t to go down that road

Cheers Julian

If you can't find a 2nd hand replacement - go for an aftermarket one and adapter plate ?

Significantly cheaper that £600 for Ford item

Really would like to keep the steering wheel switch gear to control the radio & phone, so would really like to find a second hand one

For some after market head units, you can get an adapter that connects to the plug on the back of the factory head unit and allows communication to the steering wheel controls...could be worth considering if you do struggle to find genuine head unit.

Something like this (just a very quick search to show what I meant)

If you haven't resolved your issue I would look at Android units e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/ROADYAKO-An.../dp/B07H4KHR4B
