First Clay Work...

I finished removing the last of tar at weekend, gave the interior another good clean and yesterday, gave the exterior a good wash. I'm unable to do the car start to finish in a day, so today, it was out with the Clay Bar for the first time. It too me a few hours allowing for a couple of tea breaks, but the results are incredible. The paint work afterwards feels so smooth to the touch and there's a lovely shine all over. Hopefully I'll have the DA Polisher out for the first run soon, and then on to it's first wax....

This is an area around the drivers door/wing after it's first wash last month.

After Tar removal and Clay Bar.

What clay bar did you use? I recently did my car for the first time too (2015 MK7 Golf) and the results were great. I found it really therapeutic haha. I haven't got myself a polisher yet but hoping to get one this month

its one of the meost effective wys to get your paint clean and give mirror impact. You can literally do anything afterwards, some polish, some dont, some seal, some dont, some wax and fill with a commercial product, whatever.

Get the clay in though and it makes most impact

I will say super resin polish is also a great paint cleaner - really crazy results on first use on non clayed paint.
