Aluminium effect trim?

I think I have matt aluminium effect (plastic) trim around my windows and its starting to get a little untidy and tarnished/milky and at a loss of the best way of trying to get it back to looking better - if even possible?

Any ideas on what products may work?

I have something similar, don't know if it realy aluminum or not but I used autosol metal polish I know people have used it on plastic chrome so no reason it woukdent work, I would advise you dress the rubber first so the polish doesn't absorbe in to the rubber

I have found the original solvol autosol metal polish is a bit harsh for aluminium. I have polished alloy wheels on my bike and autosol scratches them.

Solvol does make an aluminium polish but I have switched to using Poor Boys metal polish. There is lots of similar that is designed for aluminium.

Raceglaze do a roof bar and window trim restorer kit called Hindsight that sounds ideal. Not tried it yet but I’m planning to. The roofbars on my e class estate are a bit milky looking and apparently Hindsight will sort it out.

Just found this thread - the pictures on the RG website are of an Audi A6 and it wasn't hard to do the job either.
