BMW E65 750i

Hi to all my fellow detailing family!

Im a long time lurker and no poster for many years now!

I would like to introduce my 2006 BMW 750i Sport Individual!

A little back story of how i got this land yacht,
I purchased this car in 2015 to replace my 2003 Mercedes W211 E240 AMG Line i had for about 3 years.
I purchased her as a little fun project, aiming on fixing her up slowly and making a good daily driver out of her. This proved to be a very costly decision but fun non the less.

I am a fanatical detailer, i was bitten by the OCD bug when i had my Merc. I have done a 3 stage correction on the BMW and a full application of Gyeon MOHS+ Coating.

So far, apart from fixing the paint, i have added a few new bits and pieces along the way; the car has now:
- V12 leather stitched centre console and rear C pillars
- Rear Sunshade
- iPod Module
- Bluetooth Module
- AUX input
- Individual Piano Black Trim
- Individual Piano Steering Wheel
- Individual Illuminated Door Trims
- And a whole bunch of coding

This weekend i plan to pull the sagging headliner out, i'm having it re-trimmed.
I also plan to do a full decontamination of the interior carpets, so seats out!
I also want to replace the scuffed trims, broken clips and sunroof seal while i'm at it!

After this i plan on doing a headlight restoration with new lenses and new LED Angel Eye bulbs.

I look forward to sharing my progress with everyone, i have enjoyed many others projects over my time so i feel its time to give back!

Kind Regards,
Christian

PS: whats a good photo service people use to put pictures on this site?

Update: 29/05/17

So it was a busy weekend prepping the headliner for its new fabric!
I have done this job on another 7 Series last year so i knew what my day was going to be like; long, messy and sticky!

With help from a friend we prepared the headliner for glue removal!
As you can see, my headliner is proper dead!

Peeling back the headliner presents you with this;

[IMG][/IMG]

I have dubbed the orange glue stuff, agent orange! if you have done this job you know how gross and sticky this stuff is!

After the fabric was pealed off, i sprayed the headliner with methylated spirits, this reacts with the glue and basically will just brush off after it has set in.

if done correct you will end up with this;

The last picture is a reference image only, i forgot to take an after shot haha

Its going to the trimmers today for its recover, then i will re-install this weekend!

Thanks for checking in!

Kind Regards,
Christian

Hi Christian. That looks like a really beautiful car! Any more pics of the mods you've done so far? What coding did you manage to do?

Thus may be a silly question, but how did you get the head lining out of the car?

Cheers buddy.

Thanks Cookies

Will find some pics of the mods and post them shortly!

As for coding,
- Mirrors fold on lock
- Alarm beeps when locked/ un-lock
- Bluetooth phone & AUX coding from retrofits
- 5 touch turn signals
- Digital Spedo
- Follow me home lights set to Xenon, Interior and Rear tails
- Set Accept screen to shorter time and it auto accepts
- Rear Sunshade coding for it to work (haha this took me a while to find)

The headliner came out of the rear right door (drivers side rear door for RHD)
Such a pain to get it out and without getting the glue on the interior!
