Top the bottle up with warm water, warm seems to give a bit more foam but auto foam isn't thick anyway. It sounds to me like the coating is stopping it clinging. Look at this link https://youtu.be/NKpviYdkA_Q he has a coating on the alfa and to me it sounds like what your describing, the foam just splits on Contact. (about the 6 minute mark he foams the car)

Put the recommended amount of snow foam into the bottle then top it up to full with water. Start with the manufacturers recommended amount and then experiment from there, more foam/less water will make a thicker solution and vice versa until you find what works best for you.

Hi thanks, mine is very similar to this vid. I hope to try again tomorrow, so, will get a picture.
