Koch Chemie or Scholl Concepts

Hello all!

I have been using Scholl Concepts with Chemical Guys Hex Logic pads with good success. I have however now finished the bottle of my S3 ++ Gold heavy cut. My Chemical Guys Hex Logic Quantum pads need replacing too.

So the advice I need is do I move to Koch Chemie H8 or H9 or stay with my Scholl S3 ++ Gold. Worth mentioning my medium and final polishes will be with S17+ and S40 Scholl Concepts as I still have half a tub. The cars I will be doing are an 8 year of Jaguar XF, 3 year old Jaguar XE and 10 year old Audi A5.

Thanks all

Don't think you can lose in this scenario...

Yet to see a bad review of the Koch Chemie stuff and in your shoes I'd always want to try something new. I have used compounds from a sister company (believe they are made in the same factory) and I personally haven't found better.

KC H8 has an edge on cutting but Scholl S3 finishes better.
If you want something new to try H8 is a nice compound, if you're happy with S3 stick with it, it's really good.

Thanks all, might try the Koch Chemie H8.

Any recommendations on Foam Pads? I use the Chemical Guys Hex Logic Quantum (which need replacing). Happy to stay with these but was wondering if the Koch Chemie or maybe Lake Country would be better? Thanks.

I recommend H9 over H8. Not much in cut, but finishes better. As for pads, LC must be better option. Koch pads are very stiff and aggressive, even finishing pad. So for hard Audi paint Koch will fit but for soft and sticky Jaguar , LC better. SDO series is really good ones and price is good too.

I believe that KC have their own pad range which coincides with their polish.

The new range of polishes and pads have been reviewed by Jon on Forensic Detailing on youtube.

p.s. I also have H8 in my collection and is one of my go to compounds.
