Water spots, canít remove :(

Hi, left my car out in the rain around 6 months ago. Usually itís in the garage all year round as itís just a weekend toy.

Anyhow the rain seems to have embedded itself underneath the clear coat. Iíve machined polished it, didnít touch it, then went into wet sanding, again didnít touch it.

Any suggestions, the roof was immaculate before this, itís even made its way into the bonnet ever so slightly.

Tricky one.. have you bought a dedicated water spot remover? I would recommend trying one after gently heating the panel.

I wonder if you could use those bird crap heat pads that Auto Glym make. Might be worth a shot.

I recall seeing similar damage to cars left with car covers on when water has got in underneath and been left for long periods.

If my memory is correct, these did disappear when the car was left in the heat of the sun.

Well, I ended up going to town on the whole roof with wet sanding, spent about 6 hours on it today.

That's more than odd!!. But to think of it in simple terms you don't get cars which are left out all year round with water marks ?

Glad it was fixed though
