XVC Shampoo and Tyre & Rubber cleaner review
Bought some of their shampoo and tyre / rubber cleaner the other week, following recommendations and needed a new tyre cleaner - only thing I forgot on the order was wheel gel, which gets good reviews as well.
The shampoo says it’s PH neutral, comes in 1L white bottle with a childproof cap, with nice graphics label. ![]() Used 25ml to 10L of warm water and foamed up very well and has a subtle pleasant aroma. ![]() Suds transferred very nicely to the car, felt very nice and slick - mitt just glided over the surface, cleaned very well, suds lasting on the car for the full wash. Sun did come out as I was washing and got the odd dried out bit by time I’d finished, but rinsed off and no signs of anything dried on, so very pleased especially for when the warm weather arrives... Unfortunately, didn’t get any photos of either of the products “in use” as visitors arrived... ......... .......... ......... .......... .......... Tyre / rubber cleaner comes in a spray bottle, similar in design to the shampoo, but slimmer neck with spray head, which was very easy to hold and felt quite well balanced. ![]() Used the tyre cleaner last weekend on wife’s car and again today, tyres were filthy last week and 2 applications used, they came up lovely, all old tyre dressing removed and a nice finish obtained. 1st application drew a lot of muck out and turned brown quickly, minimal from 2nd application - used a brush to work it in. Rinsing off very easy and very pleased with the results. Tyres weren’t as dirty this week and used the cleaner again, not really anything brought off - other than cleaning them, so obviously did it’s job last week - wondering if it’s anything in it which kind of puts a coating on to help reduce dirt build up ?? I did find I preferred to use it with the foaming cap (end bit) open, so I got a nice spray rather than a foam on the tyre ![]() Just popped out and taken a couple of shots Nice natural tyres now, ready for dressing. ![]() Cars come up really nice, wife’s very pleased. ![]() Thanks for looking ![]() |

Nice review Andy, I used the rubber tyre/rubber cleaner earlier today - I really liked it as well - I used the foamer part though!

Cheers mate, I tried with the foam head, think it’ll possibly be better for my tyres as they’re much lower profile, so won’t get any overspray... |
