Hi guys,

Not done much updating here recently but here goes.

Car has been running great, had front brakes (pads & discs done) and was just serviced & MOT'd again last week as it continues to trample on the miles. It was last serviced in February.

It sailed through the MOT with zero notes, it had the geometry done, and also had a rear calliper stripped & lubricated, and my hand brake shoes adjusted as part of the service, but zero other issues.

Finally spent a good 8 hours on it today cleaning it in multi-stages, getting some Blacklight on it, then some Fusso Kiwami wax with a coat of BSD Sonax/Demon Shine on top. Wheels were cleaned and tyres done using Wowo's stuff and the inside got a quick clean=-up with 404 Aerospace and a hoover!

It's going on holiday on Friday and should probably add 1000 miles over the next fortnight so needs to look good Will be a mess when it comes back!!

As ever, I had my helper with me (the first proper clean in 2018!).

Oh - and a bit late but had a local tyre place put my summer tyres back on (first time since November 2016!!)

I did some work before going away with the car on holiday the next day.

I spent some time cleaning and sealing the door seals, rubber trim and window seals all around using Auto Finesse Revive, which does the job well ��




Got a coat of Meguiars Endurance Tyre Gel, which I find works great on top of the Wowo’s stuff, which tones down is wet look



Also spent some time tidying up the engine bay plastics, with the help of my assistant:





I needed to also clear and clean the stone chip guards from the inner wing lips as I could see one I had cleaned last year in the (only arch I have yet managed rust proofing and clean up) was bubbling slightly still looked the same - seems to have got no worse which is good.

Some other excellent news.

My Lexus Extended Warranty runs out in 10 days and I am away on holiday for the next 14.

Noticed my mirrors dipping a bit irregular (not always dipping when you go into reverse or returning to exactly the correct positions). They had lubricated them which helped but not 100%.

Emailed Lexus and explained I was away unti after warranty ends. They loaded a claim onto the system this morning and - lo and behold - both NS and OS mirror assemblies have been authorised for replacement under warranty, even though I won’t be back until after it runs out!! Superb service once again.

Hoping to get them done in 31st July (when the car will be almost 11 years and 9 months old).
