Blaster sidekick
Really excited today, my birthday is coming up shortly and my girlfriend asked what I would like I said blaster sidekick. Hopefully I should have it rather soon. Is there anyone who can share wether this has been useful to them or has she wasted her money?
Cheers |

Perfect just wanted I wanted it for, like you say I hate it when water drips from mirrors etc. Is it possible to dry the whole car with or doesn’t it have enough power?

I use the larger metro vac n blow for the whole car and even that takes a while.
With experience i just towel dry the bonnet and roof then blow the sides, wheels and grilles. Also great for drying the tyres before using a tyre dressing. Touchless drying really does make a difference |

I have just purchased one, used it a few times great for drying wheels, tyres, door shuts panel gaps and wig mirrors. Not quite enough power to dry a large car but enough to make it a lot easier. I only use the smallest nozzle as the large one seems ineffective.

But it's very noisy, and doesn't really get rid of every bit of water, I also feel a bit of an idiot blow drying my car ![]() You wouldn't want to do a whole car with it. If I'd had one on trial for a month I wouldn't have kept it, put it that way. |

I've had one for a few years now. It's good on wheels but in all honesty I don't get it out that often. You find yourself chasing water with it all the time. And as stated already it is noisy and you do look a bit daft using it. However, if you have problems with wing mirrors and the like then it's pretty good at that. I'd no way try to do a whole car with one.
As an aside to this I did have the Metrovac Vac'n'blo as well - the small one from CYC (not sure you can still get them though). It was good and it could be used as a blower or a vacuum. But it only lasted a couple of years before the motor burnt out. I got a Wickes wet and dry instead for half the price and as a vacuum it's fantastic - it may even blow as well (have to check) |

I'd been debating on getting one for a few months, recently bit the bullet and got one. Was sick of water dripping from every crevice hours after drying the car off its great for that but definitely not the full car it blows hot air so instead of just blowing the water off it actually dries it, great for the tyres too before dressing them.

I would say slightly warm air rather than hot.
