Real ale is one of the few things I miss from the UK.
That said, time to get back to my crisp cold Warsteiner. Yum yum.

Now that craft brewing has had a renaissance in recent years there is plenty of “real beer” out there now. I’m lucky to have several craft breweries and distilleries in my neck of the woods and the beers produced are very good. I’m a particular fan of Tempest Brewery, although with many of their beers being higher ABVs means I’ll quite happily drink a few bottles over an evening rather than sinking pints of fizzy lager! Their Azzaca/Mosaic and Wolf of Selkirk are my current favourites!

One hell of a thread revival, but on the subject of Special Brew, when me and my mates were teens, we used to make Snakebite out of Tennents Extra and K Cider. Probably why I still have a taste for the stronger ales and pillsners
