Panto's - Anyone go and see them?

Just thought I'd ask this as it's a topical subject, well, for the Dec/Jan period it is anyway.

We went for my 1st panto to The Palladium in London to watch Goldilocks and the Three Bears and it was pretty damn good I must say.

Julian Clary, Paul O'Grady, Matt Baker, Gary Wilmott, Nigel Havers etc etc....

Julian Clary was pure class and from start to finish, his innuendos were risque and so funny it was brilliant to watch, way over the kids heads, although the bulk of the audience were adults. Ad libbing every now and then and catching the other cast out as he was not following the script.

Gary Wilmot as the Dame was excellent, cracking voice and a great entertainer.

The costumes, stage lighting, special effects and choreography were just superb even if the story line was so left field.

Anyway, I can honestly say it won't be our last to a Christmas Panto and I'd highly recommend going to see it.

Go to see the local one every year. My company subsidises the cost so it works out cheap as chips! We love it every year!

Yeah love them. Our local one is unusual. Only about 8 actors in it and they play all the musical instruments as well. Very talented people, watching them acting, singing, dancing then going to the side of the stage to play an instrument for the next song is brilliant.

Our kids use to be part of the local theatre productions but never pantomine's, just Christmas themed productions.

We need to take in a local production by the sounds of it.

We are going to one on Saturday night!! With a local celebrity May McFetridge, who is usually hilarious.

Cant wait tbh. Should be good fun.

We used to go to the York one religiously, the family have since moved further a field so not been. I’ll give it a few years, when the kids grow up a bit.
